Construction monitoring imagery usually takes one of two forms:
- GPS guided preprogrammed flights that place the drone in the exact same spots taking a series of photos from the same height, location and angle over a period of time.
- Orthographic style mapping images in which a series of overlapping images from directly above the site are composted into one high resolution image of the entire site. This process creates a detailed image which can be zoomed in tight to view tire tread marks, construction supplies or other project details. When combined with ground control points, these images can be used to measure distance, measure volume, create point clouds, topo maps and 3d models.
We can also provide interior 360 degree photos and virtual tours that allow the viewer to do virtual walk throughs and examine detail from remote locations.
Our construction monitoring services allow you to remotely monitor and review:
- On site environment
- Progress
- Quality control
- Equipment and movement of machinery
- Materials and Supplies
- Sub contractors and more
Unlike traditional air craft, we can fly low enough to view details while still high enough to capture an entire site. And while it can take weeks to schedule, fly and deliver traditional aerial photographs, we can provide quick turnaround (sometimes next day) depending on the project needs.
